AIB Superior Rating in Food Safety Audit
Terre Haute, IN – Distributors Terminal Corporation (DTC) has earned a Superior Rating on a Food Safety Audit conducted recently by AIB International.
For DTC, a third-party logistics company providing warehousing, transportation and value added services such as order fulfillment and vendor managed inventory, this is the second consecutive year to receive AIB’s Superior Rating, the highest that can be attained. Results of the audit were announced in December.
AIB International is a provider of third-party audits and inspections to the food industry. The AIB audit is accepted as the foundation for effective food safety programs.
“AIB International’s rigorous audit challenges and improves our operation,” said Andy Hendricks, DTC’s Director of Logistics. “Achieving a Superior Rating for the second consecutive year is a perfect example of this company’s commitment to excellence. We strive to bring a very high level of service to our partnerships with clients.”
Hendricks said that the rating is recognized by DTC’s clients as assurance that their products will be handled, stored and shipped using the same best practices as those used at their own facility. “The Superior Rating recognizes us as an ideal logistics partner to the food industry, providing a suitable environment for our clients’ products,” he added.

AIB International is a corporation founded by the North American wholesale and retail baking industries in 1919 as a technology transfer center for bakers and food processors. AIB’s original mission was to “put science to work for the baker,” and that basic theme is still central to its programs, products and services. Although AIB’s history has been traditionally linked with North American wholesale and retail baking, the Institute currently serves many segments of the food processing, distribution, food service and retail industries worldwide.
